You can e-file your 2014 taxes with RapidTax throughout the 2015 tax season.

How to Get Your Refund Early in 2015

Want your refund as quick as possible in 2015? We don’t blame you. Follow these steps to receive your refund as quickly as possible;

1. Get Organized: Gather together all your tax information, tax forms, etc. that you’ll need to prepare your tax return. You’ll avoid wasting hours of your time frantically searching for them last minute.

2. Create a RapidTax account: At the start of January, RapidTax will have the 2014 Tax Application aviable for users to enter their 2014 Tax Return information. With that said, create an account on RapidTax at the start of the new year and start entering your tax information.

3. Choose Direct Deposit: If you opt to have your tax refund direct deposited into your account than you’ll probably receive it within 21 days. Avoid having your refund mailed to you via an IRS check, it will take much longer.

4. E-File: Electronically filing is MUCH faster than paper filing. Thanks to sites like RapidTax, you can e-file your taxes with ease, avoid waiting for your tax return and refund to be processed via paper filing (and of course, you’ll be able to skip a trip to the post office).

5. Avoid Mistakes: If you mis-report information on your tax return, the IRS may reject your return or take longer processing your return. Either scenario will cause a delay in getting your refund. To avoid this from happening, double check the information you’ve entered before submitting your tax return.

  1. I filed on the 21st they were excepted on the 2nd i used hr block still no idea when my direct deposit is going in any ideas

    1. Hi Sarah,
If you elected to have your refund direct deposited, I would say sometime around February 13th. If your refund is being mailed to you, expect it sometime around February 21st.

      1. Ok my return was accepted on feb 3 and its still saying received and processing when to expect my refund

      2. Hi Terrance,
If your return was accepted on Feb. 3, I would expect the refund to be deposited around February 13th (if direct deposited), if mailed, expect it around February 21st. It’s good to know, the IRS points out that it can take up to 21 days to receive your refund.

      3. Hi Kels,
I would contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 and have them research the status of your return. Just a heads up, there will probably be an extensive wait time when calling.

  2. The IRS accepted my return on Jan 27th as part of their early testing. This actually worries me as I fear that I’m part of a test and won’t be processed properly

    1. Hi Ian,
This shouldn’t be something to worry about, for the most part, the IRS knows what they are doing. The testing is most likely to address any issues filers face while filling out the tax return and to test the actual system process. If for some reason there were issues, you would have been notified.

Have you checked “Where’s My Refund” on the IRS site to see the status of your return? Also, you can check with the tax company you filed your taxes with.

    1. my tax return was accepted the 28th, not acknowledged, but accepted, when was yours? and today is the 6th, did you get your refund?

      1. I filed mine early and it was accepted early but currently still pending approval. So I guess the people part of the “testing” are not being processed as fast at the ones filing after 31st. Everyone I know that filed on the 31st got their returns on feb 6. Bullshit if you ask me.

      1. My taxes was submitted on the 24th and its still saying we hve received your refund and its being processed

      2. Hi Tanisha,

Did you file with RapidTax? If so, you can call our office anytime during office hours, Mon-Fri. 10:00 AM- 5:00 PM at 877-289-7580, and our team would be more than happy to help you. If you didn’t file with us, I suggest contacting whoever you filed your taxes with to ask them what’s going on.

  3. Under “Is Rapid Tax Filing Returns Early” heading, there is a sentence that states “…early with RapidTax, are team of tax experts…”, and the “are” should read “our”. Just an edit suggestion.
